Kitili Mbathi

Chairman

 

Kitili was appointed Chairman of the Board in 2008. He is currently the Standard Bank Africa Regional Managing Director for East Africa and Mauritius (based in Nairobi) and a member of the Standard Bank Africa Executive Committee (EXCO) which manages the Standard Bank Africa network of banks in 16 countries outside South Africa.

Kitili has been the direct interface between Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Mauritius operations and the Standard Bank Africa Head Office in Johannesburg, responsible for strategy coordination, budget process and regular country performance monitoring.

Kitili has public sector experience having previously served as Investment Secretary and Privatization Co-ordinator in the Ministry of Finance and Planning � Government of Kenya.

Kitili holds a Masters of Banking and Finance for Development from Instituto Finafrica, Milan, Italy and a Bachelor of Arts (Economics and Political Science) from the University of Michigan, USA.
